Mission Statement
We, the members of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, are a committed
body of believers in Jesus Christ whose focus is to deepen and strengthen our personal
faith, as well as that of the larger ecumenical community, through worship, prayer,
study, fellowship and service that emulate the life and love of Christ.
Our purpose is to grow as a committed community of faith whose passion is to worship God and to minister His love to others. We are committed to be a movement – not a monument; a storehouse – not a warehouse; a place where the ultimate goal is to share the message of reconciliation and bring individuals to Jesus, and to disciple every member toward maturity in Christ.
Under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we will plan and execute all programs and functions with the deliberate intent to equip and prepare God's people of all ages for ministry. Every program, function or event should in some way teach, strengthen or sharpen the present congregation in the areas of Christian discipleship and Christian evangelism. Each leader will create opportunities that provide for Christian fellowship for the members of their auxiliary or committee. Our primary effort is to TEACH PEOPLE OF CHRIST, TO REACH PEOPLE FOR CHRIST AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
